Public health school nurse service offers training for school staff to raise awareness and gain knowledge on how to support pupils in school as part of the Asthma & Allergy Friendly Schools (AAFS) Programme:

Planned face-to-face training every 2 years, with annual refresher videos available above.
Supporting individual children & young people
Training sessions for school staff who provide care and support for individuals with more complex needs, equipping school staff with the knowledge and confidence, to help children and young people be safe, supported, and included in every part of school life:

Medicines management and emergency plans

Competency sign-off for epi-pen use

Buccal midazolam
Annual face-to-face training where required.
Schools can book face to face training sessions via their link sessions with their named school nurse or by contacting the service via email/phone.
