What to expect
Before any support or treatment happens, consent and confidentiality will be explained to children and young people, including our safeguarding responsibilities.
The Safe East team will check with children and young people that the space feels safe and is confidential before giving them the opportunity to say what support they need in their own words; it is understandable that children and young people may feel worried but the team will listen, will never judge no matter what, and will give them the time to talk.
All available support options will be discussed so that children and young people can make an informed decision about their care.
